5:23 rogue literally saw the situation perfectly, healer did not have mana pot cd left, tank was about to die which happened ( not because he went to HS ) but because of no mana on the party. Tank died before he managed to HS and he wrote no mana meaning for the healer...so I would not blame that rogue, + on top of that boss healed to 50% hp lol...why call him a rat? I know there are many idiots who leave when its salvageable and leave people behind and Im against that, but not this case?

The rogue hearthing in Strat was smart, it was a guaranteed wipe. Healer told tank to "pot" when Baron was at 40% lol, what did you think would happen?
Do hope the next time the rogue does this it's with 1 fewer melee or a better geared/skilled healer. Cause having 3 people take alot of dmg from the aura is bad. Especially when the healer is already OOM before even 50%
I think healer OOM because rogue stay in melee range so he need to heal tank and rogue
@@kalestiyapetrovna9962 The group was made up of 3 melee: Tank, Rogue and Feral Druid. So a big reason the healer went OOM fast was cause of the high dmg from Aura and Cleave.

13:10 It's a really sad fact about humanity. A lot of people want others to lose along with them, just so they aren't alone - "crabs in a bucket". Instead of being happy for the hunter because he managed to survive, they are mad at him, that he isn't dying needlessly along with them. Crabs in a bucket will pull the other crabs down to their level whenever some of them are beginning to make an escape. People who are not aware or self-controlled aren't much different.

I talked my mom into trying out WoW with me and she absolutely loves it! No harm in trying to convince them to try a game out with you :). Just be really patient while they learn it and cheer them on lol
I’ve never played WoW at all ever and all these HC clips are making me want to try it, looks like fun. I don’t even like hard core in any other game but these clips these past few weeks really got me tempted to just dive into HC.
Don't expect to live past lv 8 on your first go since you don't know how aggro/ranges works in this game yet :p

Something I have noticed while playing classic is that people have this lets skip mentality and I think it comes from retail M+. I keep having to tell people that, its better to just pull it and kill it than have it aggro at a critical moment and wipe the entire group. You see skipping in every aspect of the game now and its so bad in classic wrath that people will skip the first boss of the dungeon just to kill the last boss and get the emblem at the end when you could kill each and get one emblem (lower emblem) for each boss. They forget social aggro was a thing and that pets always use the correct way, so lets just kill it. It's not even timed!
It just blows my mind every time I see Asmon doing critiques on raids. His knowledge of the game is unsurpassed ! ❤
Got killed due to server lag. Was flying from lakeshire to if and got a massive lag over burning steppes, got dismounted with the message "Transfer aborted: Instance not found" and died from fall damage. My bud, also on flight path got lucky and was moved back to elwynn forest. I'm done with hardcore. No respect for players time.
This is why I'm not playing blizzard HC.
That rogue isn't a rat. His healer was OOM when Rivendare was at 50% lol.

@@TheHammertimeable more like baron was at 50% because the fight was barely 45 seconds in. Priest was oom because of awful positioning giving everyone aura damage until people found a corner to back into.
Regardless of WHY Baron Rivendare was at 50% when the healer was OOM is irrelevant, rogue made the right choice, rats survive 🐀

I was never great at the game, haven't played in years and probably have the micro of an 80 year old with athritis but these videos give me confidence in coming back for hardcore myself.
Them: 'Lets do anti knock strat on gazrilla ok guys?'
Also them: 'Lets drag the boss along a 5 mob group in hopes they don't aggr.....Oh.'
Hard lesson: Control your pets and minions, people, or bad things happen!
Lost control of my void walker in a solo dead mines (WoTLK) run and died as well, because the thing just refused to return to me and attracted more and more pats.
That's defensive for ya - if the pet or you take damage while defensive is on it will resort to attacking. Passive is the only way to keep control of a pet.
@@mikkeluno Could be. I'm not sure if I tried to switch to passive and since more and more mobs attacked it, me spamming to call it back just didn't work and it just kept staying in that hallway after the 2nd/3rd boss of DM.

No offense to your specifically but I would never invite a hunter to gnomer. It looks like you got attacked first so something you did seems to have cause the aggro
someone likely walked to close to the edge and aggrod the mobs below which chained everything they probly assumed ur pet did it which tbh he might have
You can tell that the Rogue was still in combat (portrait was RED) while the rest of your party was out of combat.
@@invaderjpqHunter aggroed mobs below. Rogue was in ‘combat’ from getting hit by a landmine. Healer casted a spell immediately after hunter pulled causing threat to be removed off hunter.
@@Shivsey out of combat means no threat no mob chasing. The rogue was in combat and the mob was chasing the rogue.

It's unironically fun. Minimal add-ons and just hanging out in WoW. Groups form all the time, it really does feel like good old days.
The closest ive gotten to the feeling of playing actual vanilla in 2005. Highly recommended
I'd say try to do a duo. Playing with a buddy is so much fun. Plus it keeps you motivated. Loads of fun if you don't take it giga seriously.
The constant turnover rate of new characters makes the low-leveling experience not as much of a drag because there's always people around to help out or work together with or trade buffs, just feel like you're not alone like starter areas start to feel after a couple of weeks. I seriously don't even care about dying, the game is just fun.
These hardcore death clips are a new favorite of mine.
That last clip, if the mage hadn't Roached out and ran to Africa they might have survived, or maybe 1 or 2 dies. But by running away like that they just ensured everyone was going down with the shit ship

There is not much that could go wrong in most cases, besides that one thing that usually happens in that situation (pulling the same add groups, getting killed by the same abilities, etc)

100% I've never played wow or had an Interest in the game but watching these with asm8ns narration I'm starting to see why people like the game and i actually understand what's happening on screen which is a first as it always just seemed like random bright flashes with tiny people moving about.
Still won't play because I'm not paying a monthly fee for a game ever, but if it was f2p I might actually jump in cause these videos have me genuinely interested.
I'd totally roach out of the Rivendare fight too. First second of footage I noticed that the healer didn't have the mana to back up the tank for the rest of the fight.
If the boss has 40% of his health left and the healer is suggesting the tank uses healing pots I'd be getting out of dodge as fast as possible.
That undead section before deadmines really needs a tone down on the hyper spawning. It is absolutely nuts, I've seen the mobs respawn in there immediately after death 3+ times before they stop.
Briarwood Reed is a tough trinket to get, we farmed UBRS for months getting those for casters. I think it's dropped by a rare spawn named Jed, that appears only 10% of the time. I lucked out and got it on my first run, as a healer for the raid. One of the rare times I was healing and not tanking on my Druid.
It wasn't a guild raid, just a good PUG of various players from decent guilds. So while I normally would have passed on it, since it was a PUG I rolled (a 98). Damn, the DPS casters were pissed when I won. I received hate whispers for months. 😂🤣

The Tank in ZF dosn´t lost the Aggro of the mobs because of the knock back...he never had the Aggro. All the Mobs where after the Priest. And thats the reason why Healer and specialy Priests die. It was just a terrible and noobish pull. Yes the group left the Warrior behind, but he lead them to this terrible situation.
@5:30 watch the whole video the priest is oom incredibly early in the fight, thats why the rogue dipped.

Third clip he said no mana left because the priest went oom. So the tank was dead and they were all going to die in a few hits. He knew this was happening and bailed right before the boss was going to start aggroing everyone. Hate to say it but that was a good call
getting to 60 isnt what hardcore is about. survive other peoples mistakes is what hardcore is about. what is more dangerous is youre 100% informed and careful but in group with possible idiots

Why tank and healer have to lose their characters? Why other 2 dps didnt do hs like that coward? I mean his act was pragmatic, but in the context of human morality, he acted like a piece of shit. In my mind it's a betrayal, you either win with the group or you lose with the group.
tanks death is inevitable in that situation but all others could have done the same as a rogue. i personally wouldn't wish to die if my healer couldn't manage mana properly and went oom 20seconds into the fight that is him or her being unskilled why should i suffer because of it? and what morality either he dies with them or lives and doesn't have to spend days to relevel another champion...@@AsWeeSpeak
@@lashaoboladze8580 we dont know anything about healer's mana managment in that clip because we didnt see the whole process of farm, also mana managment depends on tank too (his gear, his acts, his button press) so it's always a question of two people acting in concert, not just the healer.
Further, you emphasize the actions of the healer, but don't focus on the actions of the dps. Why boss is only about 50% hp? Maybe its a lack of dmg? Maybe dps's were doing something wrong? Maybe healer spent his mana on them cleaning up their fuck ups instead of healing tank and save mana? We cant judge without watching the whole process of farm, but from what we can see Rogue acted like a bastard.

The rogue in the Rivendare situation did the right call. Group had bad positioning, boss healed, healer and other caster were OOM. If rogue stayed, he would die from the AOE aura because healer was OOM. If he stayed, he just dies and tank still dies, boss just would have been 25% hp instead of 30%.
1:06 sure. A second tank could have taunted but that can resist or be on cooldown. Etc. Two paladins just watching him die and not bopping him in the premier raiding guild is just embarrassing. Both of those paladins should be benched 100%.

13:00 the question is who pulled them, likely someone standing too far to the right, and that could've well been the hunter, or even more likely the hunters pet if that had low level and increased aggro range. But then it's the others responsibility to tell everyone where to stand. I never went down that way without someone saying "keep to the left, but don't stand on the low wall", but then dungeons are no place for low level hunter pets. Agro seemed to be minimal, targets target of the Hunter was first himself, then a rogue (maybe bomb disarm), then locking on the healer with heal aggro. Looks lika a body pull.

The reason he roached was because the group started Baron Rivendare with the healer being INSANELY low on mana; this was NOT his individual fault, this was the GROUPS fault; partially the tank, who pulled without checking. Partially the healer herself, for not saying anything. And partially each of the DPS, for not making either the tank or healer aware of the situation. Yes, the rogue included, but it was NOT his exclusive fault.
When he says 'Sorry guys no mana left' that's not him trolling. That's him pointing out to the group that the reason he left was because the healer was out of mana. If you'll notice, Baron still had a FUCKTON of HP left, and the tank dies whilst the rogue is HSing. Had he not HS'd there? Chances are he would've died along with them cause the tank was dead regardless; the healer was oom!
So no, this rogue was not a rat, or a bitch, or whatever else they're being called. They were smart, saw the VERY infavorable situation and made the right call and dipped out. Would've 100% done exactly the same thing and laughed at them to boot.
HC should have a death like Strider from Genesis. End boss shows up on screen laughing menacingly.

That Hydra in ZF is so funny to die to in HC due to how hard it is to even get the hammer to ring for it.
And all you need to do to avoid wiping is kill an extra pack that takes an extra two minutes. It's just so hilarious how bad you have to be to die there and how much effort it takes to be able to even do the hydra.
Never need to pull that right pack, just go left and around

Since the hammer is so out of the way to get it's just interesting / tragic that whoever had the hammer would prefer not to fight an extra couple minutes and just ring the bell.
I thought they didn't kill the patrol though which is why they pulled the boss to the tunnel entrance. Usually if you pull the boss away for not killing the patrol, you pull him into the tunnel.
It's just so weird how much wasted time in getting the hammer there was.

That Druid tank in Deadmines is not a rat/roach. The warlock fucked up and pulled a deathball. If someone fucks up like that, I'm not dying for thier mistake, I'm saving myself, that only fair. Also he died trying to save a party member, certified non-rat.
best part about the geddon clip is that they could have avoided having to find the perfect safe space in the fVcktard funnel past garrs room by just pulling geddon back to garrs room like everyone has been doing since 2005

On Geddon everybody should have GFPP up, mages can only slow fall on themselves, priests can only levitate on themselves, he might not have had blink up, if he used it to blink to the safe spot. He might not have had Ice Block if he was Arcane spec (probably not best idea for hardcore). He could have LIP fall damage (if he had pot CD) but really he should have had GFPP + Fire Ward.... otherwise mage gets one shotted if explosion crits no matter the gear.
He should have been given a priest shield though.

Rat shit cracks me up. I always fought and lived or died with my group as a band of brothers in OG classic wow. That being said I never played Hardcore (wasn't a thing in OG classic obvi) and if I did I have to assume I would be waaaay more rat like. If it's a choice between me being a rat and me loosing so many hours of gameplay, welp it turns into survivor real quick and all faith in humanity is lost ASAP.
I truly is fascinating how people can play a game for so long and still not understand the basic gameplay mechanics.

2:40 is why I am always the bad guy in Discord. Every game I play, can be WoW, Dark Age of Camelot, Mortal Online 2, whatever, I will be in a group in discord (teamspeak/ventrillo back in the day) that "that guy" has to come into the channel and tell us about how drunk he is or how high he is or the girl he banged last night or the bar he went to, how much he lifted in the gym, whatever, STILL talks when he hears we have engaged in PvP/a difficult PvP encounter, will proceed to talk LOUDER so he can tell his story over our attempt at beating the encounter, then when I snap and say "stfu we are in a fight" he will go and cry about how mean and rude I am. Amazing how some people don't get it.

Sucks that Burning died @ 10:00... however when he says "uh uh i get no raid warning" doesn't surprise me. Spam literally 1 button while addons/other people tell you things and this is what you get. Pay attention to actually what's going on and you don't die there. You should of known that Bev was in the wrong spot and to close to you or the raid and you should have move accordingly, seeing as he is the only one who died he is also probably the only one who didn't move.
It's MC in classic WoW ffs... it's not hard but when you rely so heavily on addons/other people to tell you what to do, where to stand... you get what you deserve.
